HOT GEORGIA SUNDAYBy: Catherine Trieschmann
In a tight-knit religious community where nothing stays secret for very long, the indiscretions of the Vickery family have far-reaching and often unimaginable consequences. One of the South’s finest young playwrights spins a tragicomic tale of dysfunction brimming over with lust, betrayal, and large quantities of Jim Beam. The Sunday youth service at the First Baptist Church will never be the same again. PerformancesOne Night Only

FRESH INK allowed Dallas Theater Center to invite playwrights from across the country to work in residence with local directors and actors as part of the theater's ongoing mission to create developmental opportunities for innovative and emerging writers. The staged readings were presented on select Monday evenings at Dallas Theater Center through fall 2005. In spring of 2006, FRESH INK/Forward Motion's mission expanded to include both play readings and workshop productions, showcasing the best of contemporary writing. |
